Valen and Sandvoll

Beautiful village by the Høylandsund. Valen power station is one of the oldest in the country. Great starting place for mountain trips. The village also has Sunnhordland Ritell which rents out horses. Here you can also become acquainted with other animals.

Between Valen and Sandvoll is the valley of Handeland which, with its tremendous beauty, is widely used for walking for the whole family with an idyllic footpath along a placid river.

Excellent for trips with prams and wheelchairs. A few kilometres up the valley you will find a plesant barbecue hut accessible fir all visitors.
